The Book of Bantorra (戦う司書 The Book of Bantorra) is an anime based on the Japanese light novel series written by Ishio Yamagata and illustrated by Shigeki Maeshima. It began airing in Japan on October 2, 2009 and ended it's run in April 2, 2010 consisting of 27 episodes. In 2012, the anime series was licensed for distribution in North America by Sentai Filmworks.
