Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie is a two-episode anime OVA based on the video game series with the same name. Produced by Studio Pierrot and General Entertainment Co., Ltd., the anime was originally released in Japan between 26 January and 4 February 1996, with its two thirty-minute episodes over two separate VHS tapes.
