Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal is a 1999 original video animation that serves as a prequel to the main Rurouni Kenshin series. It aired in Japan from February 20 to September 22, 1999, consisting of four episodes. The English dub of the series, which aired from August 22 and November 14, 2000, was produced by ADV Films and Monster Island.
