David Richard Thompson (1961 - January 24, 2025), or Da'ud Rachid Thompson in Arabic, is an actor, writer, musician entrepreneur, humanitarian of both American and Canadian origins. He is a co-founder of the non-profit 501c3 International Parkour Federation and for-profit World Freerunning Parkour Federation plus USA Parkour. Thompson has also done voice over work for anime licensed under Manga, Bandai, and Geneon Entertainment. In 2009, he stepped back from acting to produce an MTV series titled "MTV’s Ultimate Parkour Challenge", but as of 2022, has begun performing on-camera work once more.
For non-union work, he would go under the pseudonyms Christopher Joyce, Chris J., David Richardson, Ned Richardson, and David Clay.
